Have a heart

A study of more than 1,800 heart bypass operations shows that praying for the patient has no effect on recovery rates. In fact, the $2.4 million Harvard Medical School study shows, if the patient knows he's being prayed over, complication rates increased, perhaps because the patients figured they were in bad shape if they needed prayers. Worse still, other studies have shown that Americans praying that their medical insurance will cover the operation wasn't effective either.
