Broadband

Who uses broadband?

I know that I coudn't blog without it now.(It would cost me a fortune via modem). ]
Saying this some research figures made interesting reading.
In the UK we have 9.5 million broadband users which equates to 15.9% of the population, the US have 49.4 million users (16.8% per capita).

The figures from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development list the total broadband user chart as:

1. United States: 49.4 million
2. Japan: 22.5 million
3. Korea: 12.2 million
4. Germany: 10.7 million
5. UK: 9.5 million

But strangely broadband per capita leaders are Iceland with nearly 27% of their population using broadband.

1. Iceland: 26.7%
2. Korea: 25.4%
3. Netherlands: 25.3%
4. Denmark: 25%
5. Switzerland: 23.1%

11. US: 16.8%
12. UK: 15.9%
