Where does it stop?

The May edition of 'PC Advisor' magazine has indicated that a bill is to be put through Congress that would make it illegal to use the internet while drunk, or to discuss sexual matters over a public network. In the proposed bill 040194 it says that the FBI will use it to tap the phone line of anyone who "uses or abuses alcohol" while accessing the internet. With recent issues of incitement of religious belief (through the publishing of anti-Islam cartoons) it is suggested that being intoxicated whilst e-mailing and blogging could culminate in racially provocative articles that could fan the fires of more unrest.

The use of the term 'Information Super-Highway' itself seems to be the catalyst the bill as congress feel it equates to being drunk behind the wheel of the car on a motorway.
